Summer Bucketlist #3 - Visit a Museum

 ðŸ‡¬ðŸ‡§ Let's ignore the lack of a Summer Bucket List from last couple of weeks and focus on today's post!  My suggestion for this week is that you visit a museum. Simple, I know.

🇬🇧 I'm particularly proud of this suggestion for three reasons:

1. It's something you can do on your own (even though I went with my boyfriend);

2. The cultural sector was deeply affected by the pandemic so every little thing we can do to support it is a good deed;

3.  Visiting a museum allows us to get a new perspective on things that we already know.

🇵🇹 Estou paritcularmente orgulhosa desta sugestão por três razões:

1.  É algo que podemos fazer sozinhos (apesar de ter feito esta visita com o meu namorado);

2. O sector cultural foi muito afectado pela pnademia e por isso qualquer coisa que possamos fazer para o apoiar é algo bom;

3. Visitar um museu premite-nos sempre ganhar uma nova prespectiva sobre coisas que já conhecemos;

🇬🇧 In this case, I visited the Nacional Tile Museum. Tiles are a substantial part of Portuguese culture and the museum is one of the most instagramable places in the city it's almost a miracle that I didn't visit this place before.

We took advantage of the many discounts Lisbon offers when it comes to museums - for exemple we went for free becasue museums are free every sunday to people who live in Portugal. The normal price however is 5€ per person and you may still be elligable for one of the many discounts.

🇵🇹 Neste caso visitei o Museu Nacional do Azulejo.

🇬🇧 All I mean to say is museums are a great way to boost our education, they open our minds to different places and different times. Sometimes we dream about visting big museums like the Louvre but we never take the time to visit them in our hometown and that is for sure something we should do more often!

Summer Bucket List #2 - Go Camping

🇬🇧 Ana here ready for the 2nd Bucket list idea for Summer 2021... This time my suggestion is that you join a group of friends and go camping.

🇬🇧 There are various ways of going camping, you can sleep in tents (like we did) or in vans, in campsites or private pieces of land. I've been camping since a very young age, and it has always been one of my favourite summer activities. Nowadays we live in an era completely ruled by technology in which moments, where we are allowed to disconnect, are rare. It feels amazing to go somewhere without phones, plugs or anything that actually connects us to the outside world.

🇬🇧 The poor quality of these pictures reflects exactly that, firstly I didn't have much battery in both my phone and my camera and no way to charge them, secondly, I was having such a good time that I totally didn't care about how my pictures would turn out. All I cared about was a fresh glass of sangria, the song João was playing on the guitar and the beautiful sunset I was looking at.

🇬🇧 Even though we just stayed for one night the level of connection to nature was totally worth it. I would 100% recommend this activity to anyone who feels like they need to disconnect from other people and connect with themselves, I just wouldn't recommend doing it on your own because being alone in the middle of nowhere doesn't sound like a great idea to me.

Summer Bucket List #1 - Wine Tasting

🇬🇧 I wanted to make something different this Summer, even though, my first recommendation feels a bit repetitive. If lockdown made me do something for sure was tasting a bit too much wine.
However, this series has solely the purpose of inspiring you to do new activities, to try new things and to be creative with what can be done in the middle of a global pandemic. Every week for the duration of Summer I will suggest an activity that you can do with your friends, your family, or even by yourself.

🇬🇧 You can do a wine tasting in various places, I've found various restaurants that do tastings as well as some bars. In my case, I went to Quinta da Tôr, a wine company based in the Algarve, you can visit their space do a tasting and relax by the infinity pool that overlooks the vineyards.
Even though the prices vary depending on where you are doing your tasting, in Quinta da Tôr they have tastings starting at 10€ per person. If you are not that into tastings and you can enjoy some Sangria that is also an option, they also do little tapas with the best our region (the Algarve) has to offer.

🇬🇧 Overall I would totally add this to my Summer Bucket List, it's not expensive and it will be a completely different day from what you are used to, you will learn a lot about the wine production process and try new things, you will also spend a day surrounded by nature (if you choose to do it in s vineyard). 10/10 would recommend.
 Recomendo a 100%!

I'm still alive || Life Update

Long time no see... I am not sure I still know how to do this, yet here we are. Hello, I'm Ana Teresa Pessoa a 22-year-old from Portugal who has been blogging for as long as she can remember yet who fails miserably at being consistent. Here I am I today (at 3AM, back into the blogging routine as if it was nothing)., to give you a little life update and spill the tea on everything that life has taught me since coming back from Paris 5 months ago.

First and for most I GRADUATED UNI!!! (in the middle of a global pandemic) and now I feel lost AF. Well, there is not a lot I can say about this one except I feel really relieved, happy, and proud that this chapter is over. It was 4 long years of hard work and a huge set back towards the end named Covid-19. I finished my Culture and Communication degree from the School of Arts and Humanities of the University of Lisbon. I am now facing a world of doubts and uncertainty about the world we currently live in. I always planned on working on event management after graduation, I never expected to have all kinds of events (including my graduation) canceled for god knows how long. This as taught me many lessons, the major one probably being that life will always go it's own way, no matter how much you think you have, the best skill you can have is your ability to adapt to everything life throws at you

Meanwhile due to our global friend Corona I moved back home. Well, temporarily at least. Mid-March Portugal announced we were on lockdown and scared I would be locked in Lisbon for god knows how long, my dad picked me up from Lisbon in a quest that could be part of any apocalyptical film and brought me home, to the sunny Algarve. Don't get me wrong, I love living in Lisbon, but I feel so lucky to be here during the quarantine. I was born in a sunny place that has become a paradise on Earth for me. If you have been keeping up with me on Instagram you will know that I have been spending most of my time at the beach, enjoying nature a little bit more than before, and feeling very grateful for the place I was lucky to be born in. moral of that story you can fly as far away as you possibly can but there is no place like home.

Another thing that has changed is that I revived my Portuguese Youtube Channel, after being asked by many (mainly my mum) to produce content in my mother tongue. Actually, that's what kept me from blogging, I needed (and still need) to learn a new format and to understand how to edit video, and that left me little to no time to focus on the blogging aspect of my digital presence. I created two videos and if you can understand Portuguese I ask you to subscribe and share my channel.  Surprisingly that has taught me that it's never too late to embrace our passion projects.

And lastly, I wanted to talk about doing what feels right. I embraced a new vision on my social media. I know I am not good with schedules or promises, I am not good at being consistent, and for a long time that combined with what other people said left me feeling like shit more often than not and incredibly unmotivated to pursue my own path. Surprise, everyone is different, there is no right or wrong way of living life. I am, now more than ever, focusing on me, my self-growth, and my self-healing. Focusing on living my life to the fullest without letting others affect how I feel, how I live, or how I see the world. I am doing me and I couldn't care less about what anyone else thinks. After all, I think this was the most important swift in my mind as of lately.

So guys, be welcomed to a new era of this blog, the blogger behind it is proud of herself for being who she is, she is making mistakes and learning every single day, she is pushing through and working hard on understanding life as it is with all this uncertainty and constant need for adaptation. Seeking happiness is now my goal, instead of achieving x amount of followers. I feel like a new Ana compared to the person I was this time last year and IT FEELS GOOD.

My Summer Favorites Products

Summer is a season of long days and longer nights, almost no makeup and consequently a change in my product stash. Today I decided to hop on here and kick off my favourite month of Summer with a few products I have been loving this past few months. From skin care to body products and makeup items here are my favourites of the moment.

 Ultra Light Face and Neckline Protector (Ecran Sun - 9.99€): Sunscreen is an essential all year round, but it becomes even more important in the Summer when we are more exposed to it. After going to my local drugstore I was recommended this brand, that apparently is quite big in Spain but that I had never heard of before. I got this product after I got an awful sunburn, needless to say, that I never missed sunscreen on my routine again. I truly like this one, it's inexpensive and it doesn't let me burn. At the same time, it's hydrating and it doesn't leave a white cast behind. I would really recommend this product and this brand.

Facial Spray with Aloe, Chamomile and Lavender (Mario Badescu - 9.90€): Mario Badescu is one of those brands that are Instagram dreamy. The brand only started to be sold in Portugal recently and I had to get a product. I picked one of their Facial Sprays, the one that seemed more relaxing and shooting for my skin that suffers from daily aggressions such as salt, sun and chlorine. I use this product as a toner, a facial mist, a primmer and a setting spray. It's an easy product to carry around that my skin loves and that I want to have on hand at all times.

Tahitian Holiday Body Mist (Avon - 3.50€): I love body sprays in the summer. They are easy to carry around, they smell nice and they are refreshing, the perfect combo for the sunny days. The one I've been using most this Summer is this one from Avon. It has a strong and sweet sense and it smells mostly of vanilla. I love how fresh it is while still being quite a strong smell, the kind of smell I usually enjoy.

Mineralized Skin Finish Natural Pressed Powder in Medium Plus (MAC - 32€): I don't use pressed powder often, normally to just make my concealer last when I skip foundation, but I sweat a lot in the summer time and if I am wearing makeup (something that rarely happens these days) I want it to last as long as it can. After hearing so many YouTubers I love talking about the Mac Mineralized Skin Finish Natural I had to give it a try. This is a lightweight powder that mattifies my skin while still making it look healthy and glowy. I think this is one of the best powders on the market for people who like me prefer a more glowy and lightweight makeup look.

They're Real Mascara (Benefit - 29.50€): I got this mascara as a Christmas present but I only started using it around May. I had heard of it before, of course, but I had never tried it. It quickly became a favourite. It gives my lashes length and volume without being clumpy. I have gotten questioned if I got lash extensions done while wearing it. I really like this product but this one isn't my favourite Benefit mascara. If you want my honest opinion (and even though this is one of my top 5 mascaras ever!) I would recommend the Roller Lash over this one at any given day.

And those were the 5 products I've discovered this Summer. Some of these I know will remain favourites during the colder months, others are more likely to be kept in a drawer until next Summer anyways. I truly hope you enjoyed this post and keep an eye out because there are many more to come.

Long sunny days by the pool

Happy Monday! A new week and I'm still so excited about the rythm that I've accomplished here on the blog on this month of September (honestly I've posted more posts since September 1st then the whole month of August!)
September has been a very very very hot month, so it totally still feels like Summer (ignoring the whole back to school thing). I've been by the beach or by the pool almost every afternoon with my family, friends and boyfriend, and honestly I've been having a really great time.

I really love this bikini, the top is from H&M and the bottoms ware stolen from my mums bikini collection (sorry, not sorry). I love black but with a hint of color white the pink tropical flower patron.
I also love the way it's shaped a bit like a bra. I think it's so trendy and fashionable.

Also I had such a hard time picking what pictures to post because of my friend Rob that took all of these amazing pictures and also because of the amazing house where i took them.

I really like this picture, mainly because I had no idea I was being photographed and also because I feel like I'm walking on a runway or something.

So yeah this is it. I really hope that you guys like this post, I know it was a bit different but I really haven't done an outfit post in so long that this just felt right, also thanks for keeping up with this humongous post!

10 things I love about being a blogger and being part of the blogsphere

I feel awful because I said that I was going to come back to post every two days but it's been another week without blog posts, videos or things of any kind. If you follow me on Instagram (which by the way you totally should @anateresap1997) you would know that my life has been something like waking up, going to work, going to bed. It's really hard to work in a night club and spend or day sleeping but I'm starting to get into a schedule and hopefully starting to have more time to do some blog related work. Today I'm going to do a blog post on the top 10 thing about being a blogger in my modest opinion so I really hope you all like it.

1- Bloggers come in all shapes and sizes, there is no right body type to be a blogger, you can find real life people with body types that are similar to yours and that wear amazing outifits that will fit you perfectly as well. That for me is a lot better that looking at super thin models and comparing them to yourself.

2- You make friends that are into the same things that you are, none of my not blogger friends love makeup as much as I do, it's amazing to find people with the same interests and make amazing friendships.

3- People will appreciate your hard work, nothing makes me happier then read and reply to blog comments, it's amazing that another person spends a bit of their day reading what is on my mind or looking at the pictures that I take.

4- You do what you love, and there is nothing better than doing what you love.

5- It's an incredible way of self expression, and it also gives you the change of sharing your thoughts with the world.

6- It changes the way you look at the world, for example, when I go to the drugstore or surf the web I'm always looking for new products to try out, when I try new products I'm always making a pros and cons list in my head so that I can write a honest review, or when I walk in the street I'm always looking for backgrounds for shooting an outfit post, etc

7- You learn everyday, everything I know about photography, video or photo editors, etc. I learned because of blogging.

8- You know that people are being honest when they write about something ,  and if not believe me you will know.

9- The blog will see you grow up . I was 15 when I first wrote a blog post, I'm 18 now, so much has changed, I got over the last year of middle school, high school, and now I'm going to collage. I changed so much as a person and the blog saw me changing and that makes me super happy :)

10- You keep track of your memories, how was I like in June 2014? let's just go to the blog archives and see what I posted that month, years from now I will go back to this month and I will know that those pictures ware taken on this day by that person, I will know that this was when I worked at a club as my summer job, etc.

Lifestyle| Festival MED

Today I'm gonna talk about something a bit different. I'm going to talk about a music festival that happens every year in my home town. I'm talking about Festival MED not only a music festival but a amazing Mediterranean culture exhibition. The festival normally lasts for 3 days with a lot of concerts, great Mediterranean food and a flea market that sells things that you can't find anywhere else from clothes to jewelry.

The main musical genre that the festival approaches is world music. This year for me was a bit different because I was working inside the festival so I couldn't attend to any concerts. The only concert I fully enjoyed was the band MBONGWANA STAR . They ware so fun to listen and to dance to. They are from Congo and I really really did enjoy their concert, even tho it's not the kind of music that I normally listen to.

I love this festival so much because the historical center of my hometown is so alive and different that we feel like we are in a completely different country. With people that are different from the people that we normally see around town.

Another great thing is the street artists performances that surprise us in the middle of the street. This picture is from a show with fire. I'm glad that I could actually watch this for a while because what they do feels so dangerous and amazing. For me this is truly what modern art is about.

And of course if I'm in a place where they are selling stuff I'm going to buy stuff. I love to get fun summer jewelry at Festival MED and I do it every year. This year I bought 2 different pieces that feet perfectly in my wardrobe. The first piece is this dark cork with silver details bracelete. And then I got a silver statement necklace with white details.
The quality is really good and I have been using this pieces non stop since I got them.

What is your favorite music festival?
