5 Products I Can't Live Without

I've been sharing little collections of 5 products here on the blog during the whole of 2019. It is something that I've really been loving to do, it makes me think more before mentioning a product here. It makes me more aware of what I am consuming, it's the basic rule of quality over quantity (also the reason why beauty posts have been less and less frequent). For today's post, I decided to talk about 5 products that I keep on me at all times. I can't live without these products. I've had all of them for years and years and I always go back to them. They are mostly affordable, and they are, in my opinion, the best option in the market.

HangoveRx Hydrating Primmer (Too Faced - 35.50€): This product was first mentioned here in May 2017. 2 years later and countless bottles of this beautiful primmer it's still going strong for me.
I love the effect it gives on my skin, when I apply it I feel like a glowy goddess, when I am without it my makeup doesn't last as long, my skin doesn't look has glowy and it's like my skin is hangovered for it.
It smells of coconuts and it has a light moisturizing texture. It is absorbed by the skin within seconds and it gives my skin looking moisturized, glowy and healthy. I love it underneath makeup but I love it on its own just as much. It's the perfect product to keep people from asking me if I am sick (something that happens all the time when I go makeup free).

Micellar Cleansing Water (Garnier - 4.45€): I've tried all the versions of this product that have been made, as you can see from this October 2016 post.  The original will always be my favourite. This is the only micellar water I trust to remove makeup from my skin on daily basses. It is fragrance-free and hypoallergenic, perfect for any skin type even the most sensible ones. I would 100% recommend this product, especially because it is also super affordable. A great product to always keep on hand. I use it every single day and I have done so for more than 2 years. It's the type of product I keep backups in case it gets discontinued because I literally don't know what I would do without it.

Lip Liner Pencil in Desert Sand (Primark - 1.5€): Another product I've first tried in 2016 was the Primark lip liners. I was never a lip liner girl before them and they converted me. The formula is incredible, they are smooth and very pigmented. I love the shade Desert Sand the most, to the point I have one in my purse, another one with my makeup and 4 unopened as backups just in case the shade gets discontinued. It is the perfect neutral mauve pink tone to use underneath any lipstick shade. It also works amazingly on its own or with a small layer of lipgloss on top.

The Traceless Hair Ring (Invisibboble - 5.50€): I've been using invisibobles in my hair since they started being sold in Portugal, even though they were only mentioned on the blog in December 2016. I never used any other type of hair elastic since. They are perfect, they don't hurt my hair, they don't break (only after months and months of use), they don't give me headaches or anything like it. This is by far the best hair product I own, one I will always recommend this brand when people ask me what hair ties to get, I don't care if you have curly, thick, thin or straight hair. This is by far the best option in the market regarding hair ties.

Elvive Low Shampoo (L'óreal - 5.99€): Finally a product that I am sharing for the first time, but it doesn't stop being a favourite because of that. This product was released in Portugal in 2017 and after many years of watching Victoria from Inthefrow talk about it, I knew I had to get it to know what the hype was about. It is my favourite shampoo formula on the market. It leaves my hair looking shiny and hydrated without using conditioner afterwards, something that never happened to me before. This is one of the best drugstore options when it comes to hair care and one I keep on my bathroom at all times.

And this is it guys, these are the 5 products I can't live without. 5 products I think are totally worth the try. I would 100% recommend any of these (especially as the majority is pretty affordable). Those are products that have been part of my routines for years and that I trust completely.

Stepping out of my Comfort Zone with the Avon Mark Collection

2019, the year I promised to be more inventive with makeup. This might be my first step out of my comfort zone regarding eyeshadow but I figured it was the perfect opportunity to try the Avon Mark Collection.
I love how this collection has such minimal packaging, something that is the opposite of the fun and vibrant colours of the products.
I own a few products, almost enough to create some sort of full face and so that was what I decided to do. I did not wear the lipstick with the eyeshadow because Neon Pink on the lips and purple on the eyes totally wasn't a vibe I was going for.

The first product I used was the Matte SPF20 Fluid Makeup. This may be my favourite product from the bunch. This is a very light coverage foundation that (regardless of what the name says) is everything but matte. I love how easy to apply it is and how glowy it makes my skin look. This one is going to be one of my main allies during the warmer months.

Then I followed with the star of the show, also known as,  Loose Pigment Eyeshadow in Dazzling Violet. This product was a challenge that I accepted with open arms. I had never used a loose pigment before and I had never used purple eyeshadow but I knew that it could work really well. I decided to give it a try. Being more inventive with makeup means not only colours, but techniques, and products that we may be afraid of but that may also surprise us. I loved the colour of this eyeshadow and it lasted pretty well on the lids. I used concealer to prime my eyes and I didn't powder on top of it. I also used another tone of purple to blend the eyeshadow in and give a bit more dimension to the look.

To finish my eye look I used the Big and Daring Volume Mascara. This one is not my favourite mascara of all time because it leaves the lashes quite clumpy. However, if you LOVE volumizing mascaras I think you will really enjoy this one. I honestly think that some huge lashes are needed in order to finish up this kind of look.

The lipstick I own from the Mark Collection is in the shade Be Loud, a neon pink that is as out of my comfort zone as it gets. It has a creamy formula and it doesn't last ages on the lips thanks to that. If you are ready to embrace the neon trend I think this shade might be a good option and I must confess I am very tempted to create a look using this product.

To finish it all of a few sprays of the Magix Prep and Set Spray I don't have much to say about this one except that is a very good product. It makes my makeup stay for a long time even in the hot 35ºC weather that we have been presented with here in Portugal. This one is the one I've used for the longest time from the range and I truly am a fan.

And this is the finished look. It feels strange to show a look that I've created here on the blog after so long, but I truly hope you liked it. I must remind you again that I am just a 21-year-old trying to play with makeup and learn something along the way.

5 Skincare Products I've Added to my Rotine

My skincare routine has always been quite complete with a mix of high street and high hand products. I've started wearing makeup at a young age and (THANKFULLY) I was always aware of the importance of removing my makeup and taking good care of my skin. Today I am going to share with you five products I've been wearing for a few months and really enjoying.

Hydra Végétal Radiant Exfoliating Gel (Yves Rocher - 7.70€): I try to exfoliate my skin at least once a week, I feel like exfoliation is an important step in order to keep my skin looking glowy and less oily. This is the product I've been using for almost 5 months to exfoliate. I really like it. I truly think this is a section of my routine I still need to try more products and explore more. I think this a good product, but keep in mind this is a category in which I haven't tried many of this category.

Zero Oil Deep Pore Cleanser with Saw Palmetto and Mint (Origins - 19.95€): This is one of my favourite face washes of all time. I always buy face washes that are designed for oily skin, in order to help me control the oil production of my skin. This product has become one of my favourites. Firstly I love the smell (even though I know it won't be to everyone's taste). The formula is really good and a little goes a long way. I would really recommend this one for people with an oily skin type. Both mint and Saw Palmetto are great ingredients when it comes to treating acne, which for me works has a big plus.

Ultra Facial Oil-Free Toner (Khiels - 20€): Kiehl's is one of the best brands in the market when it comes to skincare. I had never tried anything from them before, but after getting my free skin diagnosis (which is something anyone can do at any Kiehl's store) I decided to buy this toner, once it was the product that I needed to replace at the time in my routine. I am really glad I did. I really notice a difference when I skip this step in my routine I really notice a difference. This product helps blemishes to try and it's my biggest ally when it comes to keeping my skin oil-free. Because of it I really want to get all the products that were recommended to me at their counter.

Alex Steinherr x Primark Plump & Glow Serum-in-cream Moisturizer (Primark - 6€): I always want my skin to look as glowy and hydrated and it possibly can. For that, I try to go for a moisturizer that potentializes those aspects. This is a more budget-friendly option. This is one of the best moisturizers I've tried. This is a great value for money product. My skin feels very moisturized after using and it has quite a natural glow. I sometimes skip primer when using it because this product has quite a thick texture, which makes it feel like enough base for my foundation.

Rêve de Miel Stick Balm (Nuxe - 6.10€): If you've been following me for a while you would know that I've been battling with super dry chapped lips. I've tried multiple lip balms and I keep a tube on me at all times. Around Christmas time I got the sick version of the classic Nux Rêve de Miel. I think this might be one of my favourite lip balms of all time. It truly works, which believe me, it's not something I say without thinking. I use it every day. I use it while doing my makeup in the morning and I take it with me everywhere I go. If you want a good budget-friendly lip balm, this is a product I would 100% recommend.

And this is it! I've really been enjoying trying more skincare products and consequently learning more about my skin. The moment we that conscience that skin is the biggest organ on our bodies and one that we more often than not neglect, the moment we make the choice to look at skincare with the same eyes we look at eating healthy foods or working out the difference will be noticed. I know that if I don't drink enough water or if I have too much sugar my skin is more prone to breaking out. The same way if I skip my routine for several days.
So go drink a glass of water, and reflect on your own routine. I truly hope this blog post helped in some way and that you try some of these great products.

The Colour Pop Edit: Makeup Review

Colour Pop is one of those brands I've always wanted to try, but always restrained myself from buying, maybe because it's only available online or because anything we get from outside the European Union, here in Portugal, gets stuck in costumes and we have to pay almost the same as we paid for the products in fees. When they did a Free WorldWide Shipping for Black Friday I didn't think twice and I got a few items. Recently when a similar deal was available on their website I got a few more, and I can't wait for Free Shipping to be a deal again so that I can get more and more.
I'm now going to do a rundown of all the products I own from the brand, with my honest thoughts an opinions.

The Lippie Stix (5.50$) :

Most people would save the best for last, on the contrary, I decided to start with my favourite product from the bunch. I'm talking about the Lippie Stix, a lipstick that looks almost like a pen, the elongated packaged combined with the thin bullet allows the application to precise without needing to use a lip pencil first. At the same time, they have an ultra-matte finish making them very comfortable to wear while still being long-lasting (they last all day in the lips, expect if I have an especially messy meal, like a burger or something). I risk saying that this is the best formula on lipstick I have ever tried.

As of right now (and I will for sure get more) I own three shades of the Lippie Stix:

Ziggie (a terracotta orange shade), Girl Gang (A nude with a mauve undertone) and Can't Wait (a brownie nude with a very very slight pink undertone).

The Crème Lux Lipstick (7$)

The other lipstick Colour Pop has available on their website is the Crème Lux Lipstick, a classic bullet lipstick with a very sturdy rose gold metal package. The package is decorated with little stars all over and so is the bullet of the lipstick itself. This alone is enough reason to buy the product, once it's going to look super cute on anyone's makeup bag. It shows, at the same time, the amount of thought the brand puts into their products.
They have various finishes available but I decided to go for a creamy finish. The fact that this formula is a lot creamier than the Lippie Stix also makes the product last less time on the lips (I would say around 4 hours without the need to touch up) but it also makes it very hydrating and comfortable on the lips.

The shade I picked was Pinkies Up (a nude shade with a slight mauve pink undertone). As you can see for the swatches the lip colours I picked are almost identical something that wouldn't happen if I could swatch the products beforehand, but also something that doesn't upset me once it's the type of shade I lean towards on daily basses.

Pressed Powder Shadow Pallet in I think I love you (16$) :

Deciding which pallet to get was a very serious, yet complicated task. I wanted them all (and at their low prices it was hard not to get all of them) but I ended up deciding on this beauty, the I Think I Love You because it was a neutral pallet with a twist (yes I am talking about that beautiful bright gold yellow shade).
I knew I was going to wear all of the shadows and that I could create many looks only with it so it would be perfect for my constant state of being in Lisbon and in the Algarve, living of a makeup bag.
The package is compact and made of cardboard which makes it not very resistant, and the fact that it doesn't have a mirror is a problem for me as well, especially because it's a great travel pallet, and it's when travelling that we need the mirrors that come on pallets the most. I do, however, understand why those aspects are missing in the pallet, especially when you are paying so little for amazing quality shadows.
The shadows are all very pigmented, but the shimmers have a lot of fallout but are extremely pigmented.
I am truly happy with this pallet and it has been one of my most used ones since I got it back in November.
I think if you want to buy a new eyeshadow pallet you should give Colour Pop a test because you will most likely love it, they are budget-friendly and a quality that can be compared with brands such as Urban Decay or Too Faced.

The Super Shock Shadows (5$)

Around 5 years ago I got my first MAC product, it was a limited edition single eyeshadow, one of the MAC Electric Cool Eyeshadows, a limited edition product that I got in Paris, never found in Portugal and that I fell in love with. At the time I didn't have a lot of makeup skills and so the wet to powder texture that I applied using only my fingers was quick and always looked amazing. Never have I found anything like it in any other brand, until the day this product arrived!
The Super Shock Shadows are exactly that, a cream to powder wet looking eyeshadow that looks absolutely gorgeous on the eyes.
Since I got them they became part of my everyday routine, either to accentuate or give a shiny touch to a matte look or on their own as my complete I makeup, it takes me 2 minutes to do my complete eyeshadow routine with them and I am obsessed!

The shades I got were ZZZ (a copper red with some pinkie notes and a metallic finish) and A Little Quarky (a cool toned golden shade with blue and purple undertones and a glitter finish). I love both shades and I think they look really good on my skin tone. This is the type of product I would recommend to anyone who is either starting exploring the eyeshadow world or that doesn't have much time in the morning, yet wants to use something on the lids in order to look very put together.

The Super Shock Blush (8$) :

The item I was more on defence about getting was one of the Super Shock Blushes. I had read reviews and a couple of friends had told me that they worked best when applied with a duo-fiber brush or a beauty blender, and that scared me a bit. The idea of applying blush with a beauty blender made me feel like I would have zero control when applying the product, but boy was I mistaken. The fact that I am applying the product with a beauty blender (the best way to apply it, in my opinion) it makes the product look very natural when on the skin but it also allows me to build the colour up in order to have it look a lot more intense. I haven't worn any other blush since I got it (and its only 20% because I was testing it, the other 80% is simply because I love it).
The shade I got was Holiday (a beautiful peachy pink colour). I think that this is the perfect blush for summertime makeup in which I tend to go for more creamy products but I still want them to last a long time on the skin.

I am truly in love with this brand and I can't wait to get my hands on more products!
If you have tried Colour Pop in the past please let me know what are your must-have products so that I know what to get next time I place an order!

A Few MAC Products I've been Loving || Makeup

Since I was a little girl I've always dreamed about MAC products, MAC used to be the fanciest makeup I could ever dream of owning, and now, a few years and many makeup products later, I have to admit that my 12-year-old self feels very accomplished!

My mum gave me a MAC 55€ voucher as a birthday present. With it, I could go to a MAC store, get my makeup done by one of their makeup artists and use it to buy some products. I waited for a special date to use the voucher because is not every day that I get the opportunity to get my makeup done by a professional. On the 21st of February, aka Joãos birthday, I booked my session. When I arrived there I was surprised to find my friend Jael (which is the best makeup reviewer, check her blog!) in the MAC store where I was going to get my makeup done (I had asked her the day before what MAC products she recommended, and she had given me a list of things to try)! She stayed with me for the whole time and helped the makeup artist pick what products to wear on me, so a huge THANK YOU, for making this experience even better!
Also, Jael was the one who gave the Next To Nothing Foundation, so thank you for that too!
So now, let me talk about the products. I decided to do a “full face” of makeup wearing only the products in this post, I only added my favorite MAC lipstick, which is Taupe if you are

Next to Nothing Foundation: This is a super light coverage foundation with a texture really similar to a BB Cream or a tinted moisturizer. I have been loving to use this product when getting ready super quickly in the morning before school, this doesn’t cover any of my imperfections but it gives my skin an even look, which is what I aim towards most days. I normally would wear a concealer over it and powder but for the sake of this review, I decided to use it alone on my skin. If you have combination or oily skin you will find the use of a powder to be essential when wearing this foundation, due to its dewiness all the oil that your skin will produce during the day will be accentuated, so if that isn’t your type of look, maybe this foundation is a product to skip.

Double Gleam Highlighter: Before going to get my makeup done, I was sure I wanted to get a highlighter, because I didn’t own any powder highlighter, prior to this one (I don’t know how that is possible, but let's move on). Jael told me to try the cult MAC highlighter Soft and Gentle, but I guess that was too soft and gentle to me… I like to use my highlighter has a lighthouse for aliens or something (that is why I always used to use eyeshadows to illuminate my face). Then the makeup artist recommended me Double Gleam and my heart fell for it, immediately. This highlighter has a beautiful golden shade and it’s super shiny. If you don’t want your highlighter to make a statement, this one isn’t the product for you. If I want to spice things up and make it more noticeable then what I already do, I spray my brush with a bit of Fix+ before applying this beauty to my face.

Upward Lash Mascara: Jael had worn me about the wonders of this mascara, but I was pretty sure I wasn’t going to spend my money on another mascara, because if there is a makeup product I don’t need that is it. However, when the makeup artist applied the mascara to my lashes I had never seen my lashes look so amazing. Whenever I use this mascara people ask me if I have fake lashes or what mascara am I wearing. Do I think this is worth the 25€ price? Absolutely! Its tiny applicator allows me to reach every corner of my eye, which I normally find difficult with mascaras whose wand is a lot bigger. This beauty gives length and volume in a not clumpy way, which, if you know me, know it’s my favorite way. A downside of this mascara is that it flakes away after a long day, but the effect that gives to my lashes for the most part of the day makes it worth it!

Fix + Priming and Setting Spray: Both Jael and the makeup artist said I HAD to get this product, and who am I to disagree… This product is like the cherry on top of the cake in any makeup collection, it makes all the layers of makeup disappear in your skin and it gives a full glam makeup a natural skin look. I love the effect it leaves on my skin. Also, it makes me feel really fancy when I spray my skin every day with it. I would say if you want to invest in a MAC product that has no competition what so ever from other brands this is the product to get!

Here you can see a little before and after using only this products. I never thought that this would work out so well as a makeup look, but I must say I would happily go anywhere looking like this. It was really pushing it out of my comfort zone not wearing any blush or bronzer but I think it ended up working really well as a whole look and I think this is going to be my summer no makeup makeup uniform.

Are there any products from MAC that you think I really must try? If so what are they?

L'oreal Lash Paradise || Makeup

So I started watching Friends (please no spoilers) and I basically log off the internet for the whole last weeks of January. I feel a bit awful but I'm on winter break so I allowed myself to binge watch for a few days. Meanwhile, I also got back to working out, I'm doing gymnastics again, something I haven't done in six years and believe me when I say that I still got it. Anyways, enough with the updates and all, today I thought about sharing with you one of my last beauty discovers I made in 2017. I'm gonna share with you my Lash Paradise (or Paradise Extatic if you are in Europe) review.

So this mascara is the perfect dupe to the Too Faced Better Than Sex. The brush is pretty much the same, it's hourglass form gives the lashes length, curve, but above all, volume. My lashes had never had more volume. I must say that I personally like this one more than the Too Faced one, once I feel like the formula on the Paradise Extatic is less clumpy than the formula on the Better Than Sex. I must stay that when I got this mascara I already had my expectation pretty high because every single soul on youtube kept recommending it, and I am happy to say that I don't feel disappointed.
However, I must say that if you are looking for a mascara that will give you separation to the lashes this one might not be the one for you, once my lashes always look a bit clumpy after I use it (in a good way).

I would recommend that you applied at least two coats of this (and any other) mascara so that you can obtain the best results. Two does the charm for me with this one,  I feel like less than that only works in the bottom lashes and more than that kind of glues the lashes together.
Whenever I use this product I normally get compliments on my lashes or people asking me if I got lash extensions which let's face it I think is the absolute best compliment a mascara can get.
If you are not sold yet I think that the pictures speak for themselves! I really think this is one of the best options when it comes to mascaras from the drugstore and it totally gets my seal of approval!

Urban Decay Naked Heat|| Makeup

If you ask any makeup addict what is the product they associate more with being a makeup addict I think most will answer any of the Naked pallets by Urban Decay. I personally never really got on board with the tendency. I own the Naked Basics Pallet and I like it quite a bit, but in my opinion, Too Faced eyeshadows (which are a bit cheaper) are more pigmented.
However when I say that Urban Decay had launched a warm tone eyeshadow pallet my heart stopped. I mean, once you go warm there is no coming back. My boyfriend surprised me with this beauty for my birthday. I really wanted it for a long time (since it came out back in July) but I kept thinking if I could justify spending almost 60€ on a pallet when I own a lot of warm tone shadows already. Well, now that I have it I must say yes I did, and if I already own a lot of warm tones it's because those are the ones I gravitate towards the most, so if I buy more I know for sure that I will use them.

The Packaging: I personally really like the package, it makes it look (as my boyfriend put it when justifying why he picked this one, aesthetically pleasing, yeah he really said that). It is a bit bulky and maybe if I'm going to be traveling abroad I will bring a Zoeva pallet instead, however. I like that it's built off a strong acrylic material that is sturdy and that doesn't feel like it's going to break if I accidentally drop it (which knowing me probably will happen eventually). Also, I like that it has a magnetic lock, I don't know what is it about the magnet in pallets but it really pleases me to open pallets who have them.
The pallet comes with a brush (who isn't that bad itself) and a huge mirror which is always a plus.
Each shadow has 1.3g which is almost as much of what it is in a MAC single shadow.

´

I feel like I'm a bit turned off by a pallet these days if I can't build a full look while using only the pallet, and however, I like to mix this beauty with a few single shadows I own or with some cooler tones once in a while I mostly use it on it's own, the pallet has 12 shades that all go really well with each other, I think that Ounce and Chasser are the shades that make this pallet perfect to built the most various looks due to them being on the nude side of the spectrum.
I also love how powerful the names of this shadows are, they really make me feel like a #GirlBoss when I use them.
Ounce: A shimmery pearly with that I find perfect to highlight the inner corner or the brow bone. It also looks good as an all over the lid shade in a smokey eye.
Chasser: A matte nude that is the perfect transition shade. Also if you are going for a no-makeup makeup look just use it all over the lid and it will look perfect.
Sauced:  A matte warm brown a bit on the orange side, this is another color I personally love to use in my crease or all over the lid when I just cant' be bothered
Low Blow: A matte light brown shade, this is probably my favorite shadow in the pallet. I reach for it almost every day and I really like it. Due to my laziness, I used it normally all over the lid on its own but it's also a really good crease shade for most looks.
Lumber: A shimmer duo chrome rose gold, I love rose gold but I never thought I would be the kind of gal to be in love with a rose gold eyeshadow. Boy, was I wrong. On the rare occasions that I go for a more elaborated look this is the shadow I've been using all over the lid to give my eye a shimmery pop and I love it.
He Devil: A matte red color. I like this shadow a lot as well, I think it's a bit riskier than my everyday look but it the lower lash line looks really cool also I don't think I own any shade like it which is awesome.
Dirty Talk: A metallic red. Again this is a color I never thought it would be my cup of tea but it is. I use it most all over the lid on darker makeup looks, it goes really well with Embre in my opinion.
Scorched: A metallic pinky red. For me, this shadow is just a simple mix of Lumber and Dirty Talk and I don't fancy it much.
Cayenne: A matte darker warm brown. I love this shade, this is the shade every pallet needs so that it makes the looks easier to build up those Friday Night looks. I love to blend it in the crease.
En Fuego: A dark mate burgundy color. This is also really different from everything that I own. I use it especially on the outer corner of my eye.
Ashes: A matte dark brown/purple wine. I think this shadow lacks pigmentation and it's a bit too powdery when you compare it to others. I can work with it with a pencil brush for little details also I like this type of color to smoke my lash line.
Embre: A shimmer dark purple and pink duo chrome. I really like this shadow, even though I think I can't do it justice due to my lack of makeup artist skill. However, I think this shadow is going to look great in the festive season in a few bolder looks I have planned.

So this was the look I created using as many shadows as I could (without making it look like I had a pink eye or something). I think this makeup turned out really well and I am really happy with the pallet. I think that maybe this isn't the ideal pallet if you don't have a lot of experience with eyeshadow and I wouldn't recommend it to be anyone's first pallet, for that I think maybe Naked I or Naked II are the ideal choices, but if you are looking for something to spice up your makeup game that you can use for amazing looks both in the colder and the warmer months this will fit your measurements perfectly and I honestly couldn't recommend it more.

Balmain X L'oréal || Makeup

Balmain is a brand that I've always loved. The sexiness and the edgy side of the brand made then one of my favorite designer brands out there. When I eared that they were partnering with L'oréal for a lipstick limited edition collection I couldn't even breath (also all the shades fit perfectly in my shade range which made the choice harder than ever).
The collection just launched in Portugal and it has 12 different shades of the Color Riche Matte Lipstick, that aim to the type of girl that loves Balmain, strong and bold independent women, basically the definition of a #GIRLBOSS!

Picking only two lipsticks to bring home with me was quite a challenge, but the price on this lipsticks is not that nice for a drugstore lipstick, they sell for 17,55€ which are only 2,50€ cheaper than buying a MAC lipstick, however taking into consideration that they have Balmain attached to them is quite a reasonable price. Also, the formula of the lipsticks totally justifies the price, I might risk saying that I like this formula as much as I like the MAC Matte Lipsticks formula.
The packaging is also very sturdy and great quality, the gold metal details screams Balmain to me and the bold colors of the packaging make me feel even bolder when applying a vivid purple lipstick which is quite an achievement!

The first shade I got was the shade Glamzone, which is greyish nude color. This type of color has been one of my favorites to wear during the Fall time and it was a no-brainer when it came to picking the "nude" shade I was going to bring home with me. I love that the formula is creamy enough to last around 5hours without me feeling the need to reapply it, which for a creamy matte formula from the drugstore is quite an achievement.

The other shade I had to get my hands on was Freedom. If you follow my blog for more then a month you would know that I have quite a thing for purple lipsticks. I love every variation of purple lipstick and I find it to be as wearable as a nude. I like to say that purple lipstick is as basic for me as concealer or mascara and it totally defines my bolder style in the makeup world.
This shade is the perfect cold months purple shade, being quite a bold and rich shade with a bluish undertone. I couldn't recommend this shade more and in my opinion, if you are buying only one lipstick out of the collection this one should be it. I think that purple lipstick can be quite a fun way to get into bolder lip colors without going for greens or blues (which might be where my next adventure is taking me).

Overall I think that this collaboration between L'óreal and Balmain is one of the best collaborations in the beauty world done in the last few years. Also, I really think that L'óreal might be doing the makeup for the Victoria Secret Fashion Show because there will be a Balmain collaboration in it and if that happens I will be beyond happy. I feel really luxurious and fancy when  I apply my BalmainXL'oréal lipstick and it feels great to have a little something that allows me to get a bit into Oliver's and Balmain world.
